We live in a world that is full of toxins, processed foods and engineered chemicals that wreak havoc on the body. What’s worse is that many people fall for marketing schemes for “healthy” food and drinks that are nothing more than synthetic chemicals and engineered garbage. For example, multi vitamins have been commonplace in the last few decades and were thought to be important to bolster one’s health. But, that’s just not the case and in fact may have some unhealthy backlash, counter intuitively.
While taking synthetically produced multivitamins is unhealthy partially because you are overloading on some vitamins and minerals and therefore ‘overdosing’ on some ingredients, what’s also to blame is the way they are manufactured. That’s precisely the problem they’re manufactured instead of extracted or produced naturally in nature. Synthetic supplements should be your last resort. Always ensure you get your vitamins and minerals directly from the source: your diet, and if needed, use whole food supplements and extracts that derive from food sources and herbs.
Herbal supplements are much better for you than synthetic supplements because they are natural and are more in sync with your body. Your body is much more likely to absorb the nutrients and take what is needed form an herbal supplement rather than one that’s produced in a lab. Herbal supplements may actually be more effective than fresh herbs in some cases as well. That’s because herbal supplements can extract all of the important, healthy compounds of the herb and conceal it inside a capsule for your body to reap the benefits.
